Plast Center Denmark becomes a partner in MAT4EU – A new European Eurocluster for Advanced Materials

Plast Center Denmark is proud to be a partner in the new EU project “Advanced Materials for a Sustainable European Future” (MAT4EU). The other project partners are:

The project has been selected as one of 16 new Euroclusters under the SMP-COSME-2024-CLUSTER call. The project officially started on 1 October 2025 (Grant Agreement No. 101236716) and will run for the next three years.

New Opportunities for Danish SMEs

Through MAT4EU, Danish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within plastics, polymers, and advanced materials will gain access to a strong European collaboration designed to strengthen their:

  • International growth and export opportunities
  • Access to global value chains
  • Innovation in advanced material solutions
  • Resilience, adaptability, and competitiveness

The project combines financial support with targeted internationalisation, matchmaking, networking activities, and skills development, providing SMEs with practical tools to scale their businesses and develop new solutions.

Plast Center Denmark’s Role in the Project

As the Danish partner in MAT4EU, Plast Center Denmark contributes expertise on the Danish plastics and materials industry, as well as extensive experience in innovation, sustainability, and the development of circular solutions. A key part of Plast Center Denmark’s role is also to ensure that Danish companies gain maximum value from the project’s activities and opportunities.

In practice, MAT4EU will provide Danish companies with access to:

  • European collaboration partners and new markets
  • International networks within advanced materials
  • Training programmes and specialised capacity-building activities
  • Support for developing and commercialising new material solutions
