Macro-plastics threaten Baltic Sea ecosystems: New Interreg project pioneer sustainable solutions
Macro-plastics pose a growing threat to Baltic Sea ecosystems. Every year, between 4 and 12 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean, and plastic consumption is in-creasing. Combating this global pollution problem requires inter-national action. Circular Ocean-bound Plastic (COP), a new Interreg project, is set to tackle the challenge by focusing on collection and recycling of plastics at the source with a transnational partnership.

On 22 May 2023 the innovation network Danish Materials Network facilitated by Plast Center Danmark held a seminar in collaboration with Ocean Plastic Forum, the purpose of which was to disseminate the latest developments of chemical recycling.

The European funded project “POLREC” was presented during S3 Plastics Congress 2023
On March 28, 2023, our French partner, Polymeris, held the 5th European Congress on Eco-Plsturgy and sustainable, intelligent and safe plastic materials, which is named Safe, Smart and Sustainable Plastics Congress 2023 or simply S3 Plastics Congress.
