Training programmes for the Plastics industry

A project financed by the Region of Southern Denmark and the European Union.

Plast Center Denmark and AMU SYD (vocational school) have in collaboration with a number of companies designed plastics related courses to bridge the gap between AMU SYD’s traditional courses and the increasing theoretical knowledge required by the plastics producers.

This requirement comes from the desire on the part of the plastics producers to be at the forefront of technological development as well as the constantly increasing demands by customers to use new and more complex materials.

The courses are short and address all types of employees in the plastics industry – unskilled workers, technologists and engineers. In designing the courses, case stories were collected and used in the course content.

All of the courses designed have been completed as pilot courses and evaluated afterwards with a view to future courses.

A report describing the project has been prepared.
