Project Lean Energy

Lean Energy Cluster was an initiative that propelled new energy technologies forward to commercialization and tenable business models. The cluster functioned as an incubation centre for new innovative projects that had a strong focus on research, development, demonstration and market maturation of energy and climate friendly solutions.

“New technologies and test centre for the greenhouse profession” was a project to develop new energy technologies and establish a test centre for nurseries, technology suppliers, greenhouse manufacturers and consultants. The aim was to develop economically viable solutions to make it possible to reduce the energy usage of the greenhouse profession by 30%.

The second project centred around technology for electrically powered work vehicles demonstrated on an electrically driven refuse collection vehicle and a city recycler – perhaps better known as refuse lorries and gully suckers. AluNet has taken part in the preparatory stage as well as providing guidance in aluminium usage to the other parties.

The project was funded by the region.
