We were pleased to participate in the Circular Ocean-bound Plastic (COP) stakeholder workshop in Aarhus, bringing together partners and local stakeholders to develop a roadmap for reducing plastic pollution in the region.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, Geraldo Mihut from Plast Center Danmark presented insights from macro-litter collected in the Aarhus River using the SeaProtectorOne system\u2014highlighting how continuous monitoring can reveal patterns in plastic pollution and support targeted solutions.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd0d Key takeaway:<\/p>\n

More than 150 kg of litter (over 22,000 items) has been collected, providing a strong data foundation for understanding sources and improving prevention strategies.<\/p>\n

This highlights how data-driven insights are essential for designing effective prevention strategies and improving waste management.<\/p>\n

The workshop emphasized how collaboration across municipalities, organizations, and industry is crucial to translating knowledge into concrete actions\u2014supporting both local initiatives and broader regional impact.<\/p>\n
