The project is funded by Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science.<\/p>\n<p>This project is aimed to establish an Indo-Danish research &amp; innovation network exploring transnational collaboration opportunities within the plastic value chain. The partnership shall bring together Danish &amp; Indian research institutes, clusters and private actors to progress the circularity agenda in the plastic value chain, through collection, sorting, end-of-life and recycling processes. In an Indian context plastic consumption has grown at a significant pace over the past five and so has its waste output. India produces 3.4 million tonnes of plastic waste in a year with currently less than 50% of it being recycled. Whilst in Denmark much of the waste is incinerated, creating joint demand for innovation.
