The use of post-consumer plastic waste is part of the business administration\u2019s focus on circular economics (CEE) and multiple national and international CEE initiatives currently under way exist, including the National Circular Economy HUB.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe circular economy is a term for an industrial process where all waste is considered a resource.\u201d\u00a0 In order to exploit these \u201cforgotten\u201d resources, it is necessary to have homogeneous materials, ie. Sorted and cleaned. For plastics, it is true that, even though it is sorted in specific plastic types, there is a large variation in both process properties and end-use properties within the same polymer type. In addition, a first manufacturing process and application will cause the properties of the material to deteriorate to some extent. However, this does not mean that the recycled plastic cannot be recycled. On the contrary! Many plastic types are very suitable for recycling if the \u201dnew\u201d properties are determined.<\/p>\n
In collaboration with \u201cDansk affaldsminimering\u201d, a case has been carried out \u201cCharacterization of household waste plastic for the purpose of determination process and final properties.\u201d<\/p>\n
The final conference will be held in March 2019 in collaboration with CLEAN, City of Copenhagen, region Zealand and other, where the results of the activity are presented in conjunction with the results of the CLEAN activities: \u201cPlastic volumes in the country\u2019s municipalities\u201d and \u201cEstablishment of national plastics sorting plants by tender.\u201d<\/p>\n
