Many people will find it useful to attend a second time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"firstParagraph1\"><strong>Seminar scope<\/strong><br \/>\nThe seminar focuses on the complex phenomena behind the Injection Molding process with a strong emphasis on the understanding of parts\u2019 problems (aspect, shrinkage, war-page, weld lines, burns, etc.) and their relationship with material properties (amorphous, semi-crystalline, filled, unfilled) and the process itself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seminar content<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>basic polymer thermal and rheological behaviour<\/li>\n<li>effect of pressure on polymer properties<\/li>\n<li>the flow process in Injection Molding<\/li>\n<li>part geometry and flow pattern<\/li>\n<li>compressibility, phase change and PVT data<\/li>\n<li>what is crystallinity and how does it affect processing?<\/li>\n<li>the packing phase: key to the dimensional quality of the part<\/li>\n<li>effective part, mould and process design for proper cavity packing<\/li>\n<li>understanding the shrinkage build-up<\/li>\n<li>part warpage mechanisms: designing for minimum warpage, according to material properties and part shape<\/li>\n<li>warpage: the special case of fibre filled materials.<\/li>\n<li>the concept of residual stresses: the compromise with warpage<\/li>\n<li>final conclusions and wrap-up \u2013 seminar evaluation by the participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The seminar is not specifically about Injection Molding Simulation. However, the intention is to clearly help those among the participants who are \u201cFlow Analysis users\u201d to gain a thorough understanding of the concepts that form the basis of the existing code. Model assumptions and corresponding limitations will be highlighted and discussed.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar is\u00a0<strong>highly interactive<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>limited attendance<\/strong>, allowing for questions, group discussion and an analysis of the attendants\u2019 problems.
