Seminar with the Topic “Green” chrome(VI) Free Surfaces on Aluminium
A seminar with the topic: “Green” Surfaces on Aluminium” was arranged AluNet. It was an interesting day with a nuber of specific discussions about REACH and the ban on industrial use of chrome (VI).
Christian Bang Olsen from the company Terma Aerostructure gave an interesting and informative presentation about REACH in relation to chrome(VI) and its ban date here in September 2017.
A short presentation about what “green” aluminium surfaces really are, where the most common chrome(VI) free coatings are used were reviewed. Here the discussions really started, as regards what “green” surfaces really are.
After lunch, Hans Jørgen Eriksen gave a speech about the choices that Dancolor originally made and the reasons why when they decided to install a completely new plant with chrome(VI) free pre-treatment before the painting process.
The final presentation dealt coveret the project – Strengthening the Knowledge Bridges “Green” Aluminium Srfaces by Naja Tabrizian. The presentation covered the development in the project, and how important it is that industry is a participating party.
